Open Line Friday
Since May? Wow. Crazy. Well, those great memories aside, let's get down to it. What happened to The Reverend Preaches? Why did I stop after having a good amount of people hooked in to listening to me? Two words: Rustic job.
I'm not going to get into what the job was, but I was cut off from the ability to record for 3 months. OK, that explains the summer, what about fall and part of winter? Well, I had a lot of stuff happen, and at one point, I found myself in the tents of Oktoberfest half a world away. So that gets us to just recently.
I tried, believe me, I tried to start it up again. After losing a great start to a computer crash, nothing seemed to work. I started repeating things from old shows, making bad music choices, etc. I wanted to keep doing a podcast, but I just couldn't do it by myself.
The Reverend Preaches is sadly, no more. I wish I didn't have to write that sentence, but what is, is. It's been a wild ride and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. I hope that any that listened did as well.
Wait, hold on. Not by myself...but maybe...
I sent off an e-mail to a friend of mine who I enjoy discussing things with and who was also a regular listener to The Reverend Preaches asking him if he wanted co-host a podcast with me. He accepted, we recored, I did some slight edits, and that brings us to today.
So here's the skinny on the new show (in handy list form!):

The rss feed:

We talk about cigars, football, Santa, and more!
Expect some changes to this site. For one, http://thereverendpreaches.com will become the main site. We will start to use Word Press, Grau might start to blog, and maybe some other people. I'm looking to set up interviews with various people. Some funs things are in store so stick around. As always, get pissed off, it's good for you.

Holy shit it's been awhile. "Hey wait! What the hell happened to #013?" You are asking. Well, if you are smart enough, you can find it. First things first, vote for TheFireman! http://ilovenewyork2.com/people/TheFireman Trust me. Second, this isn't a normal podcast, this is a music podcast! I loved doing this 'cast, so I hope you love listening to it.
Music used:
Bad Fathers – Bragging Rights
Butter Your Bacon – Bjrn
Jesse Dangerously – Heart of a Girl
Presh – Hive
Stabilizer – Sea of Strangers
Captain Dan and the Scurvy Crew – My Cannon
Stabilizer – The Old Timey Legend of Stabilizer
I just realized that I said Jesse Dangerously was out of California, which is completely wrong. He's from Canada.
